All LAN users can share an ADSL modem, cable modem, ISDN terminal
adapter, or analog modem for connection to the Internet through
the use of NAT (Network Address Translation); LAN users share one
valid external IP address, while retaining their local IP address
Physical layers supported for LAN connections include 10/100BaseT
and 802.11b, WAN support is provided by a 10BaseT port and a serial
connection
Provides firewall protection to the LAN against external attacks.
Firewall configuration is password protected.
Firewalls include: NAT, Port Redirect, Packet Filtering, Stateful
Packet Inspection, and MAC Address Filtering
Can be both a DHCP server or a DHCP client
