About the ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge Kit

The ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge Kit Model 4130 links two Ethernet Local Area Networks (LANs) in separate locations using a high-speed wireless connection. The Model 4130 maintains a constant connection between LANs that are separated by a road, field, parking lot or other open space. A ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge requires only a clear line of sight of up to two-and-a-half miles to provide high-speed data transfers between the two locations.

A ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge is economical, providing a rapid return on investment. Installation is usually much easier and less expensive than a wired installation. The Model 4130 is also an excellent replacement for a leased phone line, since there are no recurring monthly charges for service.

A ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge is secure, with WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy). A ZoomAir Bridge provides enhanced encryption (128-bit RC4) as well as 64-bit security.

A ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge is flexible, supporting high data rates over medium and short ranges with decreasing data rates as the distance spanned approaches two-and-a-half miles. The Bridge hardware is compact and easy to move if an organization¡¦s location changes. The ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge is also easy to install and uses the 2.4 GHz radio spectrum. Use of this frequency band does not require a license from the FCC or other regulatory agencies in the U.S. and most other countries.

The ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge Kit Model 4130 is a complete solution, with all components needed for both ends of the connection provided. The Kit includes: (2) ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge Units, (2) ZoomAir High-Gain (13.0 dBi) Directional Antennas, (2) ZoomAir Wireless Network Interface (Radio) Cards, (2) RJ-45 Ethernet cables, (2) antenna coaxial cables, and mounting hardware.

ZoomAir Wireless LAN-to-LAN Bridge configuration and management options include input from a console attached directly to the bridge, or remote input using any browser software and access through the attached LAN. To simplify operation, the bridge is maintained through an embedded graphical user interface (GUI).
